The Lodge at Woodloch hosted a Stand Up Paddleboarding Demo at its lake behind the spa. Francine Huber, who was raised in Hawaii but now lives in the Poconos, brought the equipment on-site for the adventure guides and a few others to try out. Everyone had a blast with this fast growing low impact water sport that allows you to experience the outdoors while getting fit. In this sport, you stand up on a surfboard while using a paddle to maneuver. After the guides had an opportunity to try a variety of different paddleboards with different capabilities and stability, Fran led the group through t where we went through a series of strength and conditioning exercises. While the routines were simple, the workout was absolutely fantastic as every movement required maintaining your balance as well.
A portrait of Jade, who was photographed dressed in blue jeans and a plaid shirt while sitting on a chair against the wall. The image was created using a Mamiya RZ67 with a 110mm/2.8 along with Fuji 160NPS, scanned and converted to black and white. This was shot using available light, which came in through a large window on her left.
My nieces and their friends joined us at the beach house in Frisco on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a couple of weeks. This afternoon we all decided to hit the beach at sunset to create some images.
A storm blew in early one morning so I rushed over to Manteo before first light in order to photograph the Bodie Island Light House with greater definition in the clouds. My advice to anyone going is to make sure you bring a lot of bug spray. The mosquitoes are absolutely aggressive.
