Just Warming Up
Fanwood, NJ – I have shot almost nothing but lacrosse since early April so I went to a local soccer scrimmage for a little photography tune up. Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School hosted a soccer scrimmage with The Pingry School of Martinsville, NJ as well as Sparta High School. It seems others photojournalists had the same idea as well since we also bumped into Dave Corbin from the Westfield Leader and Bruce Morrison, who is Pingry’s school Photographer. A little over a week to go for the regular season.

Kudos to New Jersey Women's Lacrosse Players
We extend a special congratulations to the New Jersey women’s players who recently were given special recognition by Inside Lacrosse Magazine in its September 2007 issue. Moorestown’s Taylor Chumney (defense) will be playing for North Carolina and Giulia Giordano (midfield) will play for Penn. These women were ranked third and 21st, respectively, in the magazine’s Top 25 list of incoming freshmen this year. Not to be outdown by their fellow New Jersey team, Oak Knoll also had two athletes in the Top 25. Oak Knoll’s Allie Hubschmann (attack) will be playing for Georgetown while teammate Virginia Crotty (attack) will be playing for Duke. These two Oak Knoll athletes were ranked 10th and 19th. In addition, West Morris Mendham’s Kaitlyn Messinger (attack) and Shawnee’s Allie Shropshire (goalie) who are entering North Carolina and California, respectively, were mentioned as players to watch next season.

Fall 2007 Sports Season is Upon Us
The fall sports season, including football, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, tennis and cross country is upon us. Scrimmages are already underway, Bloggers such as Coach Vinnie with Morris County High School Sports.Net is showcasing a brand new website, Phil McRimmon at NJHotShots is ready to take care of your videography needs and Steve Tober at Sideline Chatter is already busy writing previews of the upcoming season, while Alex Cena and his team of photographers at NJ Sports Images are eager for the regular season to start so they can start to photograph all the athlete’s in action while the parents enjoy the events.
We’ll be out and about to capture some of the best images for your local newspapers, blogs, schools and booster clubs. If there is a special event or rivalry game at your school where you especially want coverage please contact us early so we can try to include you into our schedule.
