Softball: North Hunterdon 8 (22-6), J.P. Stevens 0 (13-11)

 

 

Annandale, NJ - North Hunterdon, No. 19 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, defeated J.P. Stevens 8-0 to capture the NorthJersey, Section 2, Group 4 championship. Ali Freedman threw a one-hitter and retiredthe last 18 batters that stepped up to the plate. North Hunterdon’s scoring was sparked by Rebecca Schaefer who hada three-run homer and Molly Ward who had a two-run double. In addition, Hillary Murray and Colleen Trecartin each singled and scored twice for North Hunterdon. North Hunterdon will face No. 7 Clifton in the state semifinals on Tuesday June 5th.

Girls Lax: Mendham 14 (18-1), West Essex 6 (14-3)

Mendham, NJ – Mendham outscored West Essex 14-6 to win the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 2 girls high school lacrosse title.

Lacrosse: Christian Brothers 8 (14-5), Seton Hall Prep 6 (10-8)

Werst Orange, NJ – Christian Brothers Academy out scored Seton Hall Prep 8-6 in the semifinals of the NJSIAA Non-Public A boys high school lacrosse tournament held at the Kelly Athletic Field in West Orange, NJ.
